True on your point about diminishing returns. It is like dieting. The bulk of the weight comes off at the beginning and then you lose a pound or so if you are diligent. Yes you lose the high of the original gains but you don’t receive more gains because you are in a better place. I am a big believer in data. When the gains begin to be less obvious a daily entry of how your emotional state was (1-10) and naming something you are grateful for goes a long ways. Heart rate variability: A new study suggests that among those with low HRV (heart-rate variability), brainwave entrainment can increase HRV. Researchers studied individuals ages 20 to 70 and administered alpha brain stimulation. The alpha wave stimulation resulted in greater heart-rate variability. Since a low HRV is associated with early mortality and poor psychological and physical health, efforts made to increase it should be regarded as beneficial.

So I began to look at other instances in which the nervous system is being stimulated on a daily basis and discovered that sports science has a lot to teach us about this. Whether you are practicing yoga, meditation, using brainwave entrainment, or working out, it’s all pushing the nervous system. One of the things that sports science teaches us is that the nervous system waxes and wanes like a sine wave in its capacity to recover from, and grow from, the stimulation we give it every day. Static levels of stimulation, where you’re getting the same smack every day, day in and day out, do not allow for the fact that there are times when the nervous system is at its peak to handle the stimulation, and there are other times when the nervous system is in its trough, or valley period, when it is harder for it to recover from stimulation.

I have personally used Holosync, Neuroprogrammer 3, and now I'm currently using Brain Evolution System. They are all great programs within their own rights. Holosync is very pricey and takes many years to complete (6-10 yrs) for their 12 level program and has a hefty price tag of $3195 dollars for the complete set and it uses outdated binaural technology. Neuroprogrammer 3 doesn't have a set time limit for completion as you set your own pace and use whatever sessions you choose to use and you can get the ultimate version for under $100, but this isn't a program that you would use daily in most cases. It does use better technology ( binaural & isochronic ) but it more suited for specialized cases and can be used in conjunction with Holosync or BrainEv. I have just started using BrainEv and I am about to be into the second week. BrainEv uses state of the art binaural and isochronic technology and brings you through your states at a much rapid rate whereas Holosync focuses mainly on certain brain wave patterns during its sessions which could get your mind stuck in certain states because the brain gets used to the specific states it's been entrained to. Also, BrainEv takes just 6 months to complete and you can feel it working immediately. Holosync did do it's job but BrainEv takes the cake on this one due to the short duration of time it takes to complete and uses more advanced entrainment techniques that doesnt leave your mind in a static state. So I would difinately suggest using BrainEv ( first month is free; $299 for all 6 sets ) in conjunction with Neuroprogrammer 3 for more specialized brain training.

Thanks Lorita. There hasn’t been any isochronic tones research that I’m aware of, for anti-aging, fat loss or attracting people, or any significant anecdotal feedback. You could combine positive affirmations or hypnosis scripts with isochronic tones to try and change habits and that could help with fat loss or build confidence to attract people. But it would be the affirmations and hypnosis doing most of the work, the isochronic tones would just be used to help relax the listener and put them in a more suggestible state. I don’t believe isochronic tones can affect those things, without being used in combination with some kind of vocal mental programming.

3) Theta waves – these waves exist between 4 and 7 Hz. This state is commonly referred to as the dream or “twilight” state. Theta is associated with learning, memory, REM sleep and dreaming. Memory development is also enhanced while in this state. When in a theta brainwave state, memory is improved (especially long-term memory), and access to unconscious material, insights and creative ideas is increased.
